Energy Tips for Dealing With Covid-19

GREETINGS EVERYONE!  I hope this finds you all healthy and safe.  First things first, obviously the  Reiki I/II class for March has been cancelled.  I’m still optimistic that the Reiki I/II class on April 18-19th and May 16-17th will happen but I’ll keep you notified.

As far as Reiki sessions, for obvious reasons people are choosing to receive their Reiki session while at home. Distance sessions which can be scheduled from my website.  Click HERE to read how distant Reiki works.

After talking with a few people recently about specific exercises they can do for pain and anxiety I realized that many of them could be and should be used daily by everyone to help counteract all of the fear and negativity we are bombarded with lately.   I’ve put together some links for energy exercises that I do everyday to help BOOST my immune system and help keep sane.  The Diamond Immune Enhancer (easy to do while watching tv) and the Brazilian Toe Technique (sorry, but you can’t do this one on yourself) are listed below.  I’m also providing links to a few You Tube videos showing you some great additional routines.  They may seem like a lot but once you do them a few times you’ll find they only take a few minutes a day. They provide a wonderful barrier from outside influences and a balanced energetic body to help you stay calm, cool and collected.

The Daily Energy Routine is great for everything – balance, grounding, clarity of thought, energy protection plus much more. To watch, click HERE.  (Note – any areas you discover to be sore when doing these exercises means there’s congested energy there and it needs to be worked out.  Keep doing the exercises every day and you’ll find the soreness goes away).

The Celtic Weave is another great daily exercise that I do about 3-4 times after the Daily Routine (takes about 5-10 seconds).   This has many fantastic benefits but the best is that it strengthens our aura or biofield – that energetic field that surrounds all living things.  Since our aura is our first line of defense for anything coming at us from the outside world (negative energies, attitudes, environmental toxins, etc) it’s of upmost importance to have ours strong and healthy. To watch, click HERE.

I don’t know about you but I find myself doing much more screen time now that I’m home more (TV especially).  So this last video is for your EYES.  If it’s eye strain from too much screen time, reading or even if you feel sinus pressure these exercises feel great and you can’t overdose on them.  To watch, click HERE. (Note, same here for any areas of soreness.  The more sore, the more often they should be done.)

Any negative input we put into our brains (negative thoughts, music, emotions, watching the news, etc) weakens our immune system. Fear and anxiety do the same. Sitting in this negative state for long periods of time will take its’ toll on our bodies.  Love and kindness, on the other hand, boost our immune system.  If possible, aim for more than 3/4 of your daily input to be positive. Think about how the earth is starting to heal because of less pollution being created now or how neighborhoods are coming to together to look after their own with groups that bring food and medication to the older members, for example.  When you absolutely must watch the news, try to send light and love to the person on the screen, no matter who they are or what they’re saying. Send light and love to the situation or to the location as well. This not only helps them but it lightens your mood and fills your energies with positive emotions. Over time this helps bring your anxiety level down because your response has repeatedly been a positive one.  Think of this time as an opportunity to practice patience or learn mindfulness.  Someone recently told me that to sit in anger you are living in the past and to sit in worry you are living in the future.  Maybe this is a perfect time to start a mindfulness program!!  This reminds me of the 5 Reiki precepts I try to live by everyday……Just for Today….Do not anger, Do not worry, Be humble, Work honestly and Have Compassion for yourself and others.

A great exercise that is very calming and great for anxiety and clarity of thought is just holding some neurovascular points on your head.  Click on this LINK and you can see how it’s done. You can do this on yourself or have someone hold for you – either way is fine.  By holding these points you are bringing energy, blood and even spinal fluid into your neo-cortex or your forebrain responsible for critical thinking.  When we are stressed or anxious our blood, etc leaves our forebrain and we end up responding from our primal  brain or our reptilian brain.  This is great for our flight/flight response or keeping us alive but it’s not so great for keeping us calm, cool and collected with rational thought as we watch the news or think about worst-case scenarios.

IDEAS TO ENTERTAIN YOURSELVES AND FAMILY

 – PULL OUT THOSE BOARD GAMES AND PUZZLES!  PLAY THEM BACKWARDS OR DO THEM UPSIDE DOWN!!

– EACH PERSON LEARN ABOUT SOME OBSCURE RELIGION AND THEN SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE…..IN CHARADES!!!

 – TRY A NEW EXERCISE YOU’RE NEVER HEARD OF!  BUT BE CAREFUL, THE ER’S ARE FULL SO DON’T GO CRAZY!!
